Explorers Foundation (shorter version, draft), by Kent Davis

The Explorer's Foundation is building a world fit for explorers.

Exploration consists of passionate interest in problems, and truthful, determined, persistent search for solutions. Explorers think this is the best of life. We want to learn from explorers, then find, invent, present, and distribute tools that will help them change the world.

Explorers create change. The nature of organizations is to resist change. The Explorer's Foundation seeks to find a balance among designed and spontaneous orders that supports explorers in testing theoretical and practical conjectures, the honest recognition of error, and the rapid emergence of new explorations. The Explorer's Foundation is a forge for creating tools for explorers.

Note: I've added the apostrophe intentionally. I think the foundation is not about explorers, but for them. True?
