Investors: Who & Why

Explorers Foundation investments are intended to recognize and advance the work of individuals who through their vision and action contribute to a world fit for explorers. These awards have ranged from $5,000 to $250 U.S. dollars. During 2007 we expect to make another forty awards. Eventually, we expect the evolving a pattern of investments to reveal the importance of this question: How can we build and sustain a world fit for explorers and fit ourselves to inhabit such a world? Through our investments we expect to learn to answer this question with ever better vision, logic, and wisdom. History of Investments made in the Foundation

From our founding in 2004 to September 4, 2006 we have received $35,000 from 20 investors. In addition, friends of the Foundation who wish to remain anonymous have expended another $25,000 on behalf of the Foundation. These numbers are approximate. EF intends complete financial transparency. Accurate and detailed figures will be posted in future, although the amounts invested by specific individuals and organizations will not be disclosed.
